My mom's...My grandmother died in seventh grade. My mom's brother, Rick, came to live with us -- he has Downs and embodies that loving heart you mentioned.<br /><br />And to bounce off your last post: Rick's understanding of the gospel is that Jesus loves him. No sin. No hell (there is heaven). No devil. No judgment. No wrath. No prayer. No Bible reading (Rick can't read). No confession. No creed. None of that.<br /><br />Just "Jesus loves me."
